After a fun 3 years of working at Celebration Kids Pre-School, Zapato decided to pursue an education in Audio Engineering, but not before attempting a month-long bike ride L.A -> Portland.
Sept 2010
Made it halfway to Portland. The trip opened up a whole new world of adventure cycling.
June 2012
Returned to the classroom to help with the foundations of Beyond the Classroom, a new K-5 after-school program.
June 2012-Aug 2018
Zapato grew with Beyond the Classroom and became close friends with the children and their families. He learned a lot during his time there and the idea of starting his summer camp began to take form.
Aug 2018-Mar 2020
Looked at a career with the Los Angeles Fire Department and obtained an EMT certification.
June 2020
Quarantine shut down most summer camps and families turned to Zapato for childcare, so he began a summer cycling camp.
